West Ham legend Steve Jones happy with Andre Ayew's performance

Ex-West Ham United striker Steve Jones is delighted with the improved form of forward Andre Ayew.

Ayew, 27, is beginning to find his feet since joining the Hammers with superlative displays for the English Premier League side.

The Ghana international has emerged as the most effective player for the side since he joined.

The former Marseille man has netted three times in the past two games despite the struggles of the side.

He arrived at the East London club last summer from Swansea for £20 million and many questioned his price tag following his first few games for the club as he failed to hit the ground running.

After spending almost two months on the sidelines, he managed to recover well and went on to play 25 times for the club, scoring nine goals in the process.

Following his fine performances this season as well, an impressed Jones said: “It is good to see Andre Ayew finding form in front of goal.

“I have questioned his £20 million price tag – which was the fee he joined West Ham United for from Swansea City last year – but he is scoring goals.”
