West Ham United to make a bid for Juventus midfielder

Published on: 10 May 2016

Premier League side West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra during the summer transfer window.

The Hammers, who could be playing Europa League football in the next season, are on the lookout to strengthen Slaven Bilic’s midfield and the former Udinese man has been identified as a possible target.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri could consider letting the Argentinian go for a fee in the region of €13 million.

Pereyra has been struggling during this season – also because of an injury – and could be tempted to leave the Juventus Stadium in order to obtain more playing time.

Reports indicate that West Ham would have to face the competition of Spanish side Valencia, were they to decide to put forward a bid.

The 25-year-old midfielder has only appeared 12 Serie A matches with the Old Lady during this season. A major decrement from last season, when he had accumulated 35 appearances, scoring four goals.
