West Ham United turn attention to Napoli forward

Published on: 10 July 2016

Should AC Milan refuse to let Carlos Bacca go, West Ham United have seen an alternative in Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini.

It was previously reported that the Hammers had submitted an offer for the Milan striker and the Colombian international’s agent had travelled to London.

According to The Sun, however, West Ham appear to have turned their attention to Napoli and Italian international Gabbiadini, preparing a €23 million offer for the 24-year-old.

Gabbiadini joined the Partenopei from Sampdoria in January last year and has since scored 20 goals in 60 games, however he only started four of his team’s matches in Serie A last season, partially due to injury troubles.

It isn’t clear whether Gabbiadini is now the main target for West Ham, however an announcement for either player could be expected soon as talks with Bacca reached advanced stages.
