Communication Director of Hearts of Oak Kwame Opare Addo says his outfit are yet to purchase any player during the ongoing transfer window.

The Phobians were reported to have finalized a deal with former Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed.

But the club's spokesman, Opare Addo has dismissed the reports, claiming that they are yet to close deals with some players and revealed they are keen to give opportunities to players from their feeder side, Auroras.

“In football you can’t say, you will always buy and when you do that you are not very good football manager. If you have a nursery side at least you need to make a conscious effort that, at the end of every season at least one or two players should be able to come up," Opare told Asempa FM.

”Footballers that cut across the world came from somewhere from the junior places and occupy the places that we find them now. So we [Hearts] also believe that as the season came to an end, it is the responsibility of the technical team to invite junior team players to the first team training and have a closer look at those players so that one or two things they would want to know about these players to give them that assurance they should be able to fit into the first team,” he added.

Meanwhile, three players from the junior team, Auroras, Manaf Gumah, Philip Heymann, and goalkeeper, Richard Baidoo were all promoted to the first team last Monday.
