Bankroller of Tema Youth Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer says Aduana Stars were worthy winners of the Ghana Premier League title.

The Fire Boys clinched with their second trophy in eight years after collecting 57 points in 30 matches, losing five, winning sixteen and drawing nine.

However, some section of the Ghana League aficionados have belittled their league title triumph, claiming that they won most of their games through machinations.

The outspoken president of Tema Youth, Osei Palmer has opined otherwise by stating that there wouldn't have been another worthy winner than Aduana.

"Aduana deserved to win the league because when you look at their output, the resources they have put in the league, commitment level and even at the time where everybody wrote them off due to WAFA's consistency at the summit of the log prompted many to tip them to finish for the title but for Aduana to fight back strongly to snatch it, I doff my hat for them," Osei Palmer told Happy FM.

"Albert Commey and Nana Dormaahene [Nana Agyemang Badu II], you have done so well, you deserve your triumph and one thing I will tell you is that, any support you'd need in your Africa campaign, me as an individual or Tema Youth as a team, we will give it to you wholeheartedly."

"You have demonstrated a certain level of quality by showing to the whole Ghana that in terms of winning the league, people should not look at the conventional teams but look at we the up and coming team. You have paved the way."

"Lastly, do not go and add up to the numbers in Africa but make sure you make a very positive impact and I know you have the quality and everything required to perform well and I believe you can deliver the goods."

Meanwhile, Osei Palmer's Tema Youth have been relegated from the elite division after amassing a point total of 37 from 30 games to finish 13th on the standings.
