Wilkins urges Liverpool to sign Man City keeper Hart

Ray Wilkins believes Jurgen Klopp would be wise to bring Joe Hart to Liverpool this summer.

The England goalkeeper is currently on loan with Torino from Manchester City and is expected to be sold by Pep Guardiola at the end of the season.

Former Chelsea coach Wilkins was impressed with Hart's performance for the Three Lions in Wednesday night's 1-0 friendly defeat to Germany, particularly his fine save to deny City winger Leroy Sane, and feels he would be a great fit for Klopp's Reds.

"If I was Klopp I would certainly be going for him," Wilkins told Premier League Daily.

"The save he made last night down to his left hand side was absolutely superb.

"He is obviously a very talented young man and I would like to see him back in England playing in the Premier League.

"(Loris) Karius would probably stay if they were to bring in a top-quality goalkeeper but (Simon) Mignolet probably sees himself as a number one so he would have to disappear."
