Ghana goalkeeper William Amamoo wants another chance with the Black Stars after a second half performance in a friendly match last year seems to have jeopardized his international career.
The 27-year-old dreadful display against Japan late last year ended faded his hopes of a place in the Ghana set-up.
The former Liberty Professional goalie conceded four second half goals after replacing Richard Kingson when the Black Stars were cruising to a 3-1 victory.
"I was used as a scapegoat in that game against Japan and I hope that will not be the case when the coach name his squad for the world cup," Amamoo told Citifm.
"I am having a fantastic season and I am sure if the coach and his technical people are monitoring, they will tell you I’m not doing badly at all.
"I am still improving on my performance and hopefully if the coach continues his monitoring method, I expect to be in there."
Ghana need competent goalkeepers as back-up to Richard Kingson for the World Cup finals.

Norwegian born Adambathia Larsen Kwarasey is also in line for a goalkeeping slot in the team.
