Aduana Stars produced an inspiring display to snatch a point against Hearts of Oak in a 2-2 stalemate at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in the Ghana Premier League game on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak needed a sublime effort from Winful Cobbinah late in the second half to pick a point from the game despite taking an early lead.

Man-of-the-match performer Kofi Abanga put Hearts ahead in the 18th minute with a lovely tab-in from an Emmanuel Hayford tailor-made cross but Aduana fought strongly to equalise.

Former Asante Kotoko striker Alex Asamoah broke free on the right flank on the 24th minute mark and had the better of Nuru Suley before burying his effort firmly into the blind side of Philemon McCarthy's net.

With the scoring pecked going into the recess, Mohammed Polo in charge of his second game at Hearts looked to inspire another win but Aduana expressed their desire for win by taking the lead through Emmanuel Allan who had been denied twice by McCarthy.

But Hearts were unprepared to allow the maximum points slip away with knowledge of Kotoko's massive win over Medeama in Kumasi and playmaker Winful Cobbinah took matters into his hands by scoring an eye-catching leveller.

He took on two Aduana defenders and beat them to the challenge before rounding up Stephen Adams to settle the scoring.
