Richard Mpong has revived the prospect of a move to Asante Kotoko by confirming he is interested in joining the Premier League champions and that ââ¬Ëunofficial talksââ¬â¢ have taken place over a possible move.
The promising Medeama winger has been linked with a move to the Kumasi-based club all season but a purported huge asking price from the club has proved problematic for the Porcupine Warriors so far.
He has emerged as coach Maxwell Konaduââ¬â¢s preferred midfield reinforcement ahead of next seasonââ¬â¢s Caf Champions League, though the Black Stars assistant coach is believed to have been sufficiently impressed with his young players this term.
The 21-year-old is also reportedly on the radar of Hearts of Oak but he appears to be mre interested in their arch-rivals.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s true Kotoko have contacted me and the club and at the moment theyââ¬â¢re in talks with managers,â⬠Mpong said
ââ¬ÅNothing concrete has been arrived at but I believe t will not be long before a final decision is taken by both parties,ââ¬
The youngster marked his Ghana debut with the opener during the Black Stars 1-1 draw game in an international friendly against Chile.
