Winning 2013 Nations Cup will not be easy - Agyemang-Badu

Published on: 28 December 2012

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu says winning the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations will be extremely difficult.

The Black Stars will be hoping to win its first African title in 31-years by the time the tournament kicks off early next year in South Africa.

Ghana must however first sail through Group B which has Mali, Niger and DR Congo as members.

And the Udinese player reckons it will be a tough bumpy ride en route to Nations Cup success in South Africa.

“I think it is too soon to say we are going to win the Nations Cup,” he said.

“I know Ghanaians want the trophy but winning the African cup will not be easy.

“We as players will do our best to win it but it will be very difficult.”

Ghana will open its Nations Cup account a day after the competition officially starts against DR Congo on January 20.

The Black Stars will then engage Mali four days later before wrapping up its group campaign against Niger.
