Wolverhampton manager Stale Solbakken says a loan move for Arsenalââ¬â¢s Emmanuel Frimpong would have been an 'insult' to midfielder David Davis.
Wolves will monitor Frimpong but Solbakken said: ''It would be very rude and not right when we have David Davis, who weââ¬â¢ve encouraged and who has made real progress.
"Frimpong is a good player but he needs four to eight weeks more to come back to his best. Thatââ¬â¢s harsh against Davis because heââ¬â¢s the one whoââ¬â¢d be put one step behind.
"I donââ¬â¢t think that is fair. If Frimpong was at his best and didnââ¬â¢t have this knee injury he could go into the team and strengthen us.
"Heââ¬â¢s a quality player but has been out for a long time and played only three or four games. That would be an insult to Davis, whoââ¬â¢s got these messages heââ¬â¢s close to the team and has done well."
