Vice Chairperson of the National Women’s League Board, Roselyn Amoh has told the media that she expects a very competitive Women’s League this season.

The Women’s League in its fourth season will see eight teams from both zones after the championship produced 3 qualified teams per zone.

“We shall have one of the most competitive leagues in Ghana this season. We have many clubs and it will surely increase the competition,” Roselyn said.

Bafana Bafana Ladies from Elmina who topped the championship in the Southern zone, with Halifax and Samaria would look to battle the likes of Soccer Intellectuals,  Immigration Ladies, Lady strikers, Police Ladies and three time winners Hasaacas Ladies, for supremacy.

The Northern zone will also see Northern Ladies, Subayo, Chiewa prove their form to losing finalist, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, determined Fabulous ladies, strong Prison Ladies, cheerful Ashtown Ladies and not too good Lepo ladies.

The 2015/2016 season which was supposed to start last weekend has been shifted to April 16, with launching on April 13.

The top club from each zone will qualify to play the play-off after the round of matches.

Roselyn Amoh who believes the league will be competitive also says, it will be difficult to tip a promising team as clubs have not finished registering their players.

Hasaacas Ladies beat Ampem Darkoa ladies 1-0 at the Tema Park to emerge three time champions, after beating Fabulous ladies twice at the Accra Sports Stadium.
