World Cup 2018: Ghana reacts to tricky qualifying group to face Egypt
Black Stars will face Egypt, Congo and Uganda

Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu revealed that the Black Stars will prepare well for the coming round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers to secure a place in the tournament's finals.

The three-time World Cup participants Ghana have been drawn in a tight group along with Egypt, Congo and Uganda.

"Preparation is key… it is everything," Konadu was quoted as saying on a radio channel on Saturday. “It's a very tight draw.”

The Black Stars, who are chasing their fourth straight appearance at the World Cup, will launch their qualifier campaign when they host Uganda on 10 October in the shadow of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

"Consider the factors between that time and now. A lot has changed. The mood around the team was different with massive support from the fans and the government, so we must [make preparations the priority]," the Ghana assistant coach added.

Meanwhile, Ghana and Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu revealed that he and his teammates will do their best to reach the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

"It is a very tricky group but we are ready for everything and that is very important," Badu told Accra based Citi-FM.

"We will give our sweat and blood to win the group and for me that is the most important thing."

The Black Stars will begin their qualifiers against the Cranes of Uganda on 10 October 2016.
