Ghana striker Yahaya Mohammed has dedicated his man of the match award after the quarter-final win over DR Congo on Sunday to his nine-month old son.

The Asante Kotoko strongman was quick to devoted the award- his second of the tournament to Nurudeen Ali Yahaya.

“I am happy for the award but most importantly happy for the team win,” Yahaya told GHANASoccernet.com

“I will like to dedicate the personal award to my little boy Nurudeen Ali Yahaya.”

Yahaya’s performance at the tournament is said to have attracted interest from South African top-flight sides.

    I think I watched a different match

  2. Ato ATL says:

I do agree with you afrikaba. This guy doesn’t deserve to even start the game. He was the poorest link in the Ghana play. He couldn’t hold on to the ball and even if he did he would pass the ball to an opponent. He wouldn’t press the defenders in the 18-yard box when the congolese defenders had the ball and Bansey was the only one chasing the defenders upfront.
Am sorry this guy does not deserve the hype that he’s getting and i don’t know the kind of technical men who charged in giving these man-of-the match awards. They clearly lack the vision and technicalities in the game. Akwasi Appiah should forget about considering this guy for the sundial cos the world cup is not under 17 championship.

Adams was judges as man of match. When did this change

  4. Maxwell Johnson says:

I wonder what or how the criteria of this MVP award is cuz this guy was one of the shittest players on the field in that game, this is fucking ridiculous!!
