Yayaha Mohammed hopes his performance at the CHAN tournament will earn him a place in Ghanaââ¬â¢s 2014 World Cup squad.
The striker has been impressive so far for the local Black Stars who have advanced to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Mohammed was dropped from Ghanaââ¬â¢s preliminary squad to the 2013 Africa Cup Nations due to injury.
He has been in top form in the Ghana Premier League for Asante Kotoko this season and Amidaus Professionals last term when he raked in 11 goals as a midfielder.
Mohammed said: ââ¬ÅI want to full utilize this CHAN tournament to push for recognition of my game and ability by coach Maxwell Konadu and Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah who is also here.
ââ¬ÅI want to give them a headache with selection problems by playing well enough to be considered for the senior Black Stars team.
ââ¬ÅThe places for the team to play in Brazil 2014 World Cup have not been finalized yet and all players in this CHANA team know that.
ââ¬ÅCollectively we want to go all the way and win CHAN as it has been a long time since Ghana won any Cup.ââ¬
Mohammed missed Ghanaââ¬â¢s 1-0 win over Ethiopia in the final Group C match but will be available for their next match on Saturday.
