New Edubiase President Abdul Salam Yakubu says his team will win this weekend to prove he is not a staunch supporter of Hearts of Oak as being perceived.

The Berkwai-based club hosts the Phobians on Sunday in a week 26 match-up in the Ghanaian top flight.

And with both sides failing to pick up maximum points in the previous round, Yakubu says there will be no sympathy for Hearts who have in recent weeks seen their chances to win this season's Premier League title fade into thin air.

"I have beaten Hearts in Accra mand in Obuasi. It is only last season that they (Hearts) were able to beat New Edubiase," he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

"I aimed to even beat them last year for them to visit relegation but it didn't happen.

"This year my team was robbed in Accra to hand Hearts the win, everyone knows what happened.

"So I will give them a sound beating in Berkwai to rubbish the perception that I am a Phobian.

"Even Kotoko with an all-round team struggled to draw against Edubiase much less Hearts of Oak.

"So supporters should be rest assured we will be picking maximum points on Sunday in Berkwai, there is absolutely no doubt about that."
