Video: Yartey in line for top Portugal award for classic goal

Ghana youth star Ishmael Yartey is in line for a top award after his classic goal was named for the Goal of the Season award in Portugal.

The 21-year-old's 20-yard bullet over the weekend has been named as the 'Goal of the Week' in the Portuguese top flight.

Yartey scored the outstanding goal on Sunday for Beira Mar during their clash with giants Benfica.

He outwitted two opponents with swagger before firing from about 20 yards into the top corner which left the Benfica keeper with absolutely no chance.

The Benfica winger, on-loan at Beira Mar, scored against his mother club to show why he should be made to return to the giants at the end of the season.

The outstanding goal will certainly make Benfica take notice of the talented youngster they have sent out on loan.

Despite the Ghanaian youngster's goal, Benfica returned to winning ways after consecutive league losses with the 2-1 victory over Beira-Mar.

Yartey's has been in impressive form in the Portuguese top flight and the outstanding goal could be the best Ghanaian goal in Europe this season.
