Yartey scores classic goal in Servette win in Swiss Super League

Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey scored an outstanding goal to make a huge statement on his devastating form in Servette's 2-1 victory over Neuchatel Xamax in the Swiss Super League.

The former Ghana Under-17 star unleashed a fierce missile from 30 yards that has become the best goal in Switzerland so far this season.

The goal will also be gunning for the best Ghana's best goal in aborad this season as he is now in competition with Mohammed Abu of Stromgodset.

He danced his way through the Xamax defence before unleashing a fierce drive to cancel out a Kalu Uche's 16th minute opener for the visitors.

Yartey, on loan from Portuguese giants Benfica, was the architect of the winner. He broke away in a swift counterattack to set up Goran Karanovic for the winner.

Yartey told GHANAsoccernet.com he is delighted with his form. "I aim to improve game after game. I'm very happy with today's performance. It's great for me and I will work even harder."

The goal marks Yartey's third in ten games from Servette.
