Yaw Acheampong frustrated after Aduana defeat

Ashantigold coach Yaw Acheampong was left bitterly disappointed after their defeat to Aduana Stars on Sunday.

Alex Aryee’s solitary strike in the 55th minute was enough to hand the miners their first defeat of the season.

The former Ghanaian international was left frustrated and said they deserved to pick at least a point from the game.

“I feel very bad because we played well on the day. Our inability to utilize our chances caused us the defeat,” Acheampong said

“Our strategy was to hold the ball and give penetrating passes. Everything went well but we just failed to get on the scoresheet.

“You can understand that I am very disappointed. But there is nothing we can do. We have to move on and look ahead to our next game.

Ashantigold are now fourth on the league chart with 12 points and will next tackle basement boys Berekum Arsenals on November 25.
