Head coach of Elmina Sharks Yaw Acheampong says he is under no pressure to deliver the goods for the club in the upcoming campaign.

Acheampong took charge of the Elmina-based side midway last season as an interim coach after management sidelined head trainer Kobina Amissah following their underwhelming start to the campaign.

The former Great Olympics coach managed to steer the club to safety as they finished 9th on the league standings.

And earlier this week, the 44-year-old gaffer was made a substantive coach of the side by club owner Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom and was tasked to guide the team to a top four place finish.

But when asked by reporters if the task given to him by the club's bankroller has placed him under pressure to perform, Acheampong answered: “It’s not pressure, because for pressure, it’s been with us since our playing days. I don’t see it as pressure but a target to fulfill. I will have to make sure I hit the target as Coach of Elmina Sharks” he said.
