Ghana U20 assistant coach Yaw Preko believes the new side has quality enough to embark on another successful run in 2015.

The Black Satellites have qualified for the Africa U20 Championships to be staged early next year in Senegal.

Coach Sellas Tetteh’s side want to emulate the great success chalked by his 2009 crop that made a clean sweep of all the competitions they participated in.

The team is currently in Qatar to face their national U20 side in a friendly as part of preparations way ahead of next year’s Africa U20 championships.

The Black Satellites is always challenged by the need to unearth quality players to ensure the side remains competitive at all levels.

And assistant coach Yaw Preko believes the team will do well despite the constant changes made to the side.

“We have a very good team even though majority of the players are newcomers without experience,” he said.

“But these kind of friendly matches will give the side the needed exposure and confidence to go unto do bigger things.”
