Yaya Toure: This is how Man City can win silverware this season…

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is backing the club to come away with at least one trophy this season.

As City prepare for tonight's Champions League Round of 16 first leg with AS Monaco at home, Toure believes attacking football played under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola will see them achieve success this term.

"We can do it because of the way we play with new manager," he said to Rio Ferdinand in an interview for BT Sport.

"We are a very open team, we want to dominate the opponent. If we focus on the goal, we can do it.

"We have created so many chances and scored a few. If you imagine all these chances we can score, we can do it. It's all about confidence. If we score the goals we have a chance.

"I think the Premier League is the important one, but I don't want to be early in what I'm saying because the Champions League is still a massive deal."
