Muntari was omitted in Milovan Rajevac's 23-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations on disciplinary grounds.

The 26-year-old claims Ghana's decision to leave out the Inter Milan ace will better their chances of beating the Black Stars

"I'm very disappointed about this situation about Muntari that he will not play but it's good for us-it's good for Ivory Coast because Muntari is a good player and very important player for Ghana," the Barcelona ace said.

"I think playing against Ghana tomorrow(Friday), I want to win this game because it's very important for Ivory Coast to win this game."

Ivory Coast need a win against Ghana to avoid an omnious elimination from the tournament after playing one-all with Burkina Faso on Monday.
