Coach Zdravko Lugarosic has signed a contract extension with Premier League outfit AshantiGold, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 48-year-old has penned a two-year deal which will keep him at Obuasi until June 2013.
Lugarovic joined the 1997 Caf Champions League runners-up in January and helped transform the side.
Financial demands nearly scuppered the deal but the club have reached an agreement with the Croat.
"Considering the work he did when he joined us it was only proper and natural that we extended his stay and that’s what we’ve done," AshGold Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo said
