1461 Trabzon will be without Ghana attacker Shaibu Yakubu for their crucial Turkish Lig 1 game against Karsiyaka on Saturday due to injury.

The 27-year-old former AshGold goal-poacher pulled out of training on Wednesday after sustaining a muscle strain while training with the club.

Trabzon medical team assessed the extent of the injury and have recommended the former Ghana U23 forward sits out of training for ten days.

"I suffered a muscle strain and will not be able to play this weekend for my team," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

He joins former Hearts of Oak whizkid Torric Jebrin who also suffered a season-ending injury in February.

But he is expected to return to training later next week.

Shaibu has scored three times in all competitions from the wings for Trabzon.
