Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari will undergo further tests on Monday to know the extent of the injury he picked up in AC Milan’s 3-0 win over Chievo Verona on Saturday, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report. Â
Muntari suffered a calf injury in his right leg and was replaced by compatriot Michael Essien a minute to halftime.
The 29-year-old’s injury however did not appear serious and may have been taken off as a precautionary measure.
Milan have been struggling this season and will need Muntari in their quest to fight for a respectable position in the Serie A.
Muntari has made 21 appearances for Milan in the Italian top-flight this season.
He is set to be named in Ghana’s World Cup squad.
