Marseille star Andre Ayew believes their performance against Olympique Lyon will spur them on to win their remaining matches.

The Ghana international played the entire duration as the Olympians won 4-2 at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday.

"We had a lot of fun. During the warm up, we felt the crowd behind us, it warmed our heart,” Ayew told Marseille’s website.

"If we had this intensity in the games since the beginning of the season, we would not have been in trouble.

“We showed that we knew how to defend and attack together. There is a match next week in Bordeaux, where Marseille have not won for 37 years."

Marseille need to win their remaining two matches to stand a chance of securing a Europa League spot for next season.
