2014 World Cup: Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan arrives for Black Stars training

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has arrived from his United Arab Emirates base to prepare with the Black Stars in Accra for the 2014 World Cup finals.

The Al Ain king pin touched down at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Monday afternoon, a day after scoring the only goal which handed his side the President’s Cup at the expense of league champions Al Ahli.

Gyan is expected to lead the pack of players available for training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday when a non-residential camping

The 27-year-old has been in top scoring form after banging in 29 goals to emerge top scorer in the UAE Arabian Gulf League for the third successive time.

He topped the scorers chart in the President’s Cup and also leads the list of goal scorers in the Asian Champions League with 10 goals.
