2014 World Cup: Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan sets record as Africa's top scorer in World Cup history

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan set a new record as Africa’s all-time scorer in the World Cup by scoring his sixth goal in their 2-1 defeat to Portugal.

The Al Ain striker equalled Roger Milla’s record of five goals last Saturday after finding the back of the net in the 2-2 draw with

Gyan registered his second goal of the 2014 World Cup and that complimented the three scored at the 2010 finals in South Africa.

The Al Ain striker also was on target on their debut tournament in Germany 2006.
