Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah must name his 30-man provisional World Cup squad by the 13 May deadline set by FIFA, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Ghana's leading football news outlet has gleamed from FIFA's marketing regulations for the 2014 World Cup that the list must be presented by 13 May.

Seven players must be dropped from the list to make up the Black Stars final squad for the competition, the FIFA rule further revealed.

The deadline for the final World Cup roster of 23 players is 2 June.

It is expected that Ghana's final squad for the tournament will be revealed after the Black Stars friendly against Holland on 31 May, three days before FIFA expects it squad.

Players are fighting for their places in the Ghana squad with several who are out of favour keen on impressing Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.

John Mensah, Derek Boateng, Anthony Annan and several other players like Richard Kingson are all keen on returning to the Black Stars squad.
