Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says his confidence has swollen exponentially ahead of the World Cup after his employers handed him a two-year contract extension.
Appiah will remain in charge until July 2016 after agreeing a new deal with the Ghana Football Association.
The financial details and targets of the new contract are yet to be made public.
The ex-Ghana captain has been rewarded for leading the Black Stars to finish fourth at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and masterminding the team’s World Cup qualification.
Appiah is delighted his future is now guaranteed.
"Of course, I'm happy that I will still have a job after the contract expires. I also consider it that my employers are satisfied with my delivery so far, hence the decision to renew the deal," Appiah told the state-owned Graphic Sports.
"At least, this development shows that the FA has faith in me and the job I've done so far. That is the biggest motivation any employee needs from an employer."
