Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah says he is happy to play wherever coach Kwesi Appiah wants him to at the World Cup.

The defense of the Africans has become a matter of intense debate following the late injury suffered by Jerry Akaminko during their international friendly defeat against the Netherlands last week.

Coach Appiah is now left with only three recognized centre-backs in the team and the strong Evian defender says he is ready for any role assigned him.

“I just had my best year in France, it will help me a lot in the World Cup in Brazil. I am here and ready to play any position in any position the Black Stars coach offers me.” ,” Mensah is quoted by  Le Dauphine.

Mensah will most likely partner John Boye at the heart of defense during the global showpiece in Brazil.

The Ghanaians have drawn USA, Germany and Portugal.
