Ghana defender Daniel Opare has assured Standard Liege fans he will be fit for Sunday’s Belgian Pro League championship playoff cracker against Anderlecht.

The right-back twisted his ankle in Monday’s 0-0 draw at Club Brugge but stayed on to play the entire duration.

"I twisted my ankle a bit but I could eventually play through," the versatile wing-back said in a post-match.

"But that's okay. I will just fine."

Opare has been in top form this term and made 24 starts in 25 league appearances in the regular season.

The 23-year-old is expected to be named in Ghana’s 2014 FIFA World Cup squad.
