German icons visit national team

German formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg and foremost super-star golfer Martin Kaymer paid a visit to the German national team training camp in South Tyrol and encouraged them to keep their focus ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

The duo were joined by DTM motor racing driver Pascal Wehrlein as they provided a welcome distraction from the daily rigours of pre-World Cup preparations.

All German nationals have been encouraging their team to storm Rio in high spirit and try to win the World Cup on their 18th attempt and the trio paid a courtesy visit to encourage them.

“You’ve got to believe in yourselves,” urged Kaymer when talking to the Nationalmannschaft over lunch, while Rosberg encouraged them to go about their task “with fun and team spirit”.

Germany are in the same group as Ghana, United States of America and Portugal.
