Ghana hero Asamoah Gyan, who admitted to having “some physical problems”, says they will be up for their next against South Africa at the Africa Cup of Nations in Tuesday even though the Bafana Bafana will be very difficult to defeat.

Gyan climbed off the sick bed to fire the Black Stars to a dramatic stoppage time victory over Algeria to spark their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals.

A win over South Africa on Tuesday will guarantee the four-time African champions passage to the last-eight of the competition in Equatorial Guinea.

A draw in the match in the city of Mongomo and Algeria failing to beat Senegal on the same night could also get the Black Stars past the group stage.

Gyan, who was suffering from malaria before he fired the Black Stars to the fantastic win over Algeria, admits the Bafana Bafana will be no pushovers.

“South Africa have shown they are a very good side right from the qualifiers and so we do not expect an easy match against them,” he said.

“It was a team effort against Algeria, everybody working for everybody, and we will count on this again against South Africa.”

Ghana are currently second on the table in Group C which is topped by Senegal.
