Asamoah Gyan was Ghana's top-performer

Maxwell Konadu's men shared the spoils with Guinea in a 1-1 stalemate in a 2015 AFCON qualifying clash Casablanca on Saturday night.

Captain Asamoah Gyan grabbed his 44th Ghana goal by netting in the 27th minute but Boubacar Fofana scored African goal of the year contender with a cracking leveler for the Syli Nationales.

GHANAsoccernet.com's Akyereko Frimpong Manson rates the performance of the Black Stars at the Stade Mohamed V.

Stephen Adams 6/10 Adams was virtually kept on holiday as he Guineans failed to threaten the Ghana area. He was entirely untested in the entire first-half of the game. There was nothing the Aduana Stars keeper could do to prevent Fofana's thunderbolt drive from going in.

Jonathan Mensah 6/10 Committed a few fouls in the vital area but was no nonsense in his work. He partnered well with Awal Mohammed in central defense.

Awal Mohammed 6.5/10 Another testimony of maturity by the South African-based. He played with maximum confidence and excelled in his area. Overly impressive and looks to have held down his place in the team.

Harrison Afful 6/10 On his 46th cap, the Esperance du Tunis defender showed enough class to leave a mark in Casablanca. His workaholic efforts saw him switch flanks and successfully impressed.

Baba Rahman 6/10 What a display from the Augsburg full-back! The 21-year-old had the energy to surge forward and defended gallantly. In the 14th minute, one of such runs saw him go free into the Guinean box, outrunning three defenders in the process. His tackles were decent too.

Kwadwo Asamoah 5.5/10 The Juventus man was deployed in a holding midfield role he brilliantly gagged the space in the middle, dismantling and dispersing any possible attacking plans by the hosts. His perfect passing ability and the sense of impressive organization earned him extra marks.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu 6/10 Badu worked silently in midfield for most parts of the minutes he lasted on the field. His efforts looked more of complimentary to what Kwadwo Asamoah was doing in the middle. He provided the master-key to open the gates to launch attacks. He was replaced by Rabiu Mohammed in the 70th minute.

Christian Atsu 5,5/10 Atsu gave Maxwell Konadu's side a sense of positivity on the flanks. His daring runs, trickery and majestic movements gave concern to the Guinean defence. Early in the first-half, the Everton man sumptuously made light works of three Guineans. Subbed by Wakaso Mubarak in the 72nd minute.

Jordan Ayew 6/10 The Lorient man was the architect of Gyan's opening goal. He outmuscled his marker to send a visionary pass to Gyan who maintained his cool to excellently bury the ball. Jordan's work rate was above average. He was replaced by Majeed Waris in the 80th minute.

Asamoah Gyan 7/10 Gyan demonstrated yet again why is a top class striker with his fabulous 27th minute finish. He led that attack well and created problems for the Guinean defence.

Andre Ayew 6/10 Inspirationally tenacious. The OM man revived his team-mates anytime they appeared on going down and made great contribution to win.

SUBSTITUTES

Rabiu Mohammed  5/10

Replaced Agyemang-Badu but failed to maintain the standard held by the Udinese though he set up Majeed Waris the most brilliant chance of the game.

Abdul Majeed Waris 4/10

Had Ghana's best chance of the game but he missed it. After coming off the bench to replace Jordan Ayew, Rabiu Mohammed laid a pass for him to kill off the game for Ghana but the Trabzonspor forward unbelievably missed. Typical to his miss against Portugal at the World Cup.

Wakaso Mubarak 5/10

Came off the bench to replace Christian Atsu in the second-half he added some power and fresh energy to the the team. His pace and power was crucial for the team.
