Ghana’s women’s national team have been boosted by news that key defender Elizabeth Addo will be available for Saturday’s Olympic Games qualifier against Cameroon.

Addo is expected to arrive in Ghana on Friday from her base in Hungary where she plays for top-flight side Ferencvarosi.

The inclusion of the former Rivers Angels FC strong centre-back will excite coach Yusif Basigi ahead of the crucial return leg against the Lionesses.

Addo will become the third foreign-based player to join the squad following the arrivals of Linda Eshun and Samiratu Suleman from Iceland.

Ghana hold the edge to progess to the final qualifying round after drawing 1-1 in Yaounde two weeks ago.
