Ghana’s national women’s team will leave for Cameroon on Wednesday ahead of their 2016 Olympics Games third qualifying round first leg tie.

The Black Queens will be the guest of the Lionesses at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde on Saturday July 18 with the Ghanaian expected to host the return leg on August 2.

Coach Yusif Basigi’s team thrashed local division side Blessed Ladies 5-2 in a friendly on Monday ahead of their trip to Cameroon.

The Lionesses are back from the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup where they were the only African team to advance to the knockout round.

The winner of the tie will face either Ivory Coast or Zimbabwe in the final qualifying round.
