Ghana coach Avram Grant will not invite Afriyie Acquah for the clash with the Amavubi which will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday due to injury.

Skipper Asamoah Gyan is injured and will not play while deputy Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew as well as Majeed Waris will all be rested for the game as Ghana have already qualified.

Acquah believed to picked up a knock at training with his club side and since the results of the game is not too important for the Black Stars, he has been left out of the squad.

The former Chelsea boss will use the platform to assess other players since the result of the game will be inconsequential to the chances of the Black Stars.

Ghana, already leading the group, have secured a ticket to the continent’s biggest soccer fiesta in Gabon early next year with a match to spare.

Acquah who is a sure bet for the Israeli gaffer for the 2017 AFCON finals will be kept out of the team to give way to new faces for Grant to have a fair view of their performance.

Former WAFA winger Samuel Tetteh will be expected to start the game with Agyemang Badu likely to captain the side in the absence of Gyan and Andre Ayew.
