Ghana U17 players and officials arrived in the country on Tuesday from the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup finals in India.

The team touched down at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

The Black Starlets were eliminated by Mali last Saturday at the quarter-final stage after losing 2-1 to the African champions.

Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has been pilloried by the local media after losing to the Eagles for the third time in five months.

The experienced trainer thanked all Ghanaians for their support.

"We want to thank Ghanaians for their support, if wishes were horses, beggars will ride them, we fell out in the quarter-finals but my boys did well," the former Hearts of Oak and Kotoko coach said.
