2019/20 Ghana Premier League: Week 11 Match Report- Karela United 0-0 Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak failed to take adavantage of their recent form as they battled to a goalless draw at the Akoon with Karela United. 

Despite creating several opportunities, the Phobians could only settle for a draw.

The visitors began the game on a positive note as they came close just five minutes into the game after Joseph Esso's fifth minute effort went straight into the arms of the Karela United goalkeeper.

Hearts kept pushing for an opener, with Emmanuel Nettey and Kofi Kordzi coming close with a freekick and a header respectively.

A good team move from the Phobians late into the first half saw Nettey's shot go inches wide.

After a dominant display by the Phobians in the first half, Karela United made their first substitution just five minutes into the second half as Kwame Boateng came on for Samuel Ofori.

Coach Edward Odoom withdrew Fredrick Ansah for the young Manaf Umar as the Accra based club went into such of a goal.

As the clouds gathered in the final minutes of the game, Karela goalie Isaac Hagan made a spectacular save from a deflected shot to keep his side in the game.

Dominic Eshun came on for Kofi Kordzi but the Phobian could just not break the resolute Karela defence.

Daniel Afriyie had the best chance of the game in the final minute  but failed to convert as Isaac Hagan came to the rescue of Karela once again.
