Published on: 29 February 2020

The wounded and humiliated Berekum Chelsea are coming at Golden City park desperate for a win when they face struggling and bottom placed King Faisal Babes on Sunday in the Ghana league.

In their attempt to dispatch their recent poor run in the premiership, the Blues were knocked out of the FA Cup by lower-tier side Unity FC by 2-1 last weekend.

Before the cup elimination, Chelsea had ending an unwanted back-to-back defeats with a 1-0 away win over Great Olympics in the last league fixture.

The Bibires form at home this season looks very balanced as they have won two, drew two and lost one of the five games played at the Golden City park.

They hope to start a new chapter by beating King Faisal Babes on Sunday.

Richard Kissi Boateng after netting the match winner and also emerging MVP in his first start of the season is expected to keep his place in the team.

Stalwart defender Ahmed Adams is also making a return to the squad for Sunday's match.

King Faisal Babes finally got themselves some smiles in the season as they thumped lower tier side Thunderbolt FC in the FA Cup last week.

The bottom placed outfit recorded an emphatic 6-0 victory to progress to the next round of the cup competition.

King Faisal will be counting on the win to give them some sort of motivation and confidence as they travel to Berekum.

The Green and Whites are still chasing their very first three points of the season.

A lot will depend on Ibrahim Osman should King Faisal pick a point or clinch a victory on Sunday.

The striker has netted 9 goals in 12 games in all competitions this season.

Goalkeeper Yusif Moro cannot face his former club due to an injury he is carrying.

Prediction: Berekum Chelsea 2-1 King Faisal Babes
