A second half goal by Liberty Professionals danger-man Elvis Kyei-Baffour secured three points against Karela United FC in Week 12 of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Liberty commenced the match in a bright fashion against the struggling Anyinase-based side at the Karl Reindhorf Park.

Despite controlling much of the ball possession, the Scientific Soccer lads failed to make it count on the scoresheet as both teams ended the first half with a goalless draw.

Liberty coach David Ocloo made two tactical changes during the recess by bringing on George Ansong and Abraham Wayo for Abass Nuhu and Ernest Papa Arko respectively.

The substitutions paid greatly as the hosts began to threaten the goal area of their opponents.

In the 65th minute, the Karl Reindhorf Park erupted after Elvis Kyei-Baffour powered home the opener following a good combination with Mubarak Alhassan.

Baffour’s strike proved to be the winner as Karela United failed to reply despite having good moments late in the game.

The victory moved Liberty Professionals to 10th on the standings with 16 points while Karela United remain 17th with 12 points.
