Aduana Stars continued their strong start to the season following a last-gasp 1-0 win against Great Olympics in Week Two of the ongoing Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Dade Boys went into the match with the aim of grabbing their first maximum points after their opening day 3-0 defeat against AshantiGold at Obuasi.

Coach Prince George Koffie named a strong team which included former Ghana youth star Gladson Awako and maintained Emmanuel Clottey as the lone ranger.

Aduana however dictated the pace of the opening proceedings but Olympics stood to the task by nullifying their attacking threat.

Both sides failed to change the score line as the first half was brought to a close by referee Eric Owusu Prempeh.

Aduana showed glimpses of their last week’s form in the second stanza by moving the ball quicker. Their new approach forced the hosts into getting two yellow cards in the 49th and 59th minute respectively.

The Fire Boys continued to press Olympics as they went in search of the winner but the hosts impregnable defensive network repelled them.

Aduana coach made a attacking change by bringing on Richard Nana Kwesi in place of Noah Martey in the 72nd minute as they went in search of the winner.

With the match looking increasingly like ending in a stalemate, Nana Kwesi popped up from nowhere to score for Olympics.

The result saw Olympics move down to 17th on the standings while Aduana move 2nd on the table with 6 points.
