Hearts of Oak bounced back from the agonizing defeat to Asante Kotoko to record an impressive victory at Dawu against Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.

Kofi Kordzi's solitary strike in the second half ensured the Accra giants picked up all three points on match day seven.

The Phobians wasted no time in announcing their presence in Dawu after Benjamin Afutu headed wide from a Fredrick Ansah cross.

Moments later talismanic forward Joseph Esso’s curling freekick hit the cross bar to deny the visitors.

Dreams FC attacker Emmanuel Ocran came close but his effort was weak to trouble Richie Attah in the Hearts of Oak goal.

Emmanuel Nettey weaved in a pass to young forward Afriyie, who was denied by Dreams goalie Peter Sarkodie. The 18-year old nearly grabbed the opener after connecting to a cross from the left.

Esso again was denied by the woodwork as Hearts went into the break the better side.

The Phobians returned from the break as determined as they were and ten minute later took the deserving lead from the boots of forward Kofi Kordzi.Kordzi, who had a bad game against Kotoko twisted and turned the Dreams defense before firing low into the net.

Left back Raddy Ovouka’s good run on the left nearly resulted in another goal for the visitors.

Kordzi has the chance to donor his effort with a glaring chance just six minutes to end the game but the bulky forward missed the opportunity.

The Rainbow club held on in the final minutes to ensure they returned to the capital with victory.
