AshantiGold SC midfielder Stephen Owusu Banahene emerged man of the match in their heavy away victory over Liberty Professionals on Thursday.

Banahene bossed the midfield to ensure that the Miners claim a 5-1 emphatic win from a goal down over Liberty at the Sogakope park.

Simon Appiah Asamoah scored in the 18th minute to put the home side ahead in the encounter.

Amos Kofi Nkrumah levelled for AshantiGold in the 34th minute before David Abagna Sandan gave them the lead four minutes later.

Skipper Amos Addai increased the advantage for the Miners on the stroke of halftime.

Seth Osei and Frank Akoto scored in the second half to seal the victory for AshantiGold as they move up on the league standings.

Banahene has been a key member to Gold and Black outfit since the start of the second round of the campaign.
