Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed was chosen as Man of the Match as his side threw away a winning position to draw at Berekum Chelsea.

The Porcupine Warriors led after 18 minutes when striker Kwame Poku directed in a cross from the left for the opener.

Mohammed, who was playing his first match of the season, was solid at the back to thwart all efforts by the home team to snatch the equalizer afterwards.

He scythed into tackles and did all the mopping up at the back.

But Kotoko could not hold onto the lead and conceded a free-kick at the death to get a point.

Substitute Emmanuel Clottey smashed it in to beat goalkeeper Kwame Baah who had come in to replace injured Felix Annan.
