Tahir Mensah was the hero as Elmina Sharks beat Asante Kotoko to maintain their premiership status.
Mensah scored a close range finish in the second half and that was enough to hand Sharks 1-0 victory at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Kotoko were largely poor and deservedly lost, making Sharks the only team to beat the Ghanaian giants in both games this season.
Sharks survive and can end the season with a trophy as they remain in contention for the MTN FA Cup.
Kotoko are also in the cup competition. Their only chance of a trophy this season to appease demanding fans after losing the league to Hearts of Oak.
