Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak clash today in their outstanding fixture in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park, Dormaa.
The fixture was earlier scheduled for matchday one but had to be postponed due to coronavirus concerns.
The Ghana Football Association postponed the game due to uncertainty in the COVID-19 results of the Phobians and but have finally given the green light for the game to be played later today.
Hearts of Oak after a poor start to the season recorded their first win of the campaign against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday five.
Goals by Kwadwo Obeng Junior and a brace from Mitchelle Sarpong ensured Hearts picked a 3-0 win in the game.
It was Kosta Papic’s first win as manager of the side since his appointment.
The Phobians will be hoping to build on this momentum ahead of the game against Aduana Stars.
Aduana Stars were held at home by Eleven Wonders in their matchday one fixture. It took the effort of Yahaya Mohammed to rescue the home side from defeat in the game.
The Ogya lad has had a slow start to the season and a win against Hearts of Oak could ignite their title ambitions.
The team is still without a win after four matches played this season and will be hoping to break that run against the Phobians at home.
Meanwhile, Aduana Stars forward Yahaya Mohammed has promised to score against Hearts of Oak.
According to the 33-year old, scoring Hearts of Oak in their first game against each other will cushion their chances of winning the league title this season.
“I am going to score two goals against Hearts of Oak. If you score against Hearts of Oak, you have a chance to win the league. It’s a big club and I am going to score against them to win my goal king”, he told Happy FM.
The last meeting between the two sides at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park ended in a draw in the truncated league.
Prediction: Aduana Stars 1-2 Hearts of Oak
