2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 1 Match Report- Liberty Professional 1-1 Bechem United

Liberty Professionals were held to a 1-1 draw at the Carl Reindorf Sports Stadium by  Bechem United in this matchday one fixture of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The game was originally scheduled for Sunday 15 November but had to be postponed due to a delayed COVID-19 test from Bechem United.

Liberty Professionals started the game with a lot of intensity in search of their first goal and were awarded a free kick in the second minute.

George Ansong had a big chance to put the home side in the lead in the 17th minute with a free header but it flies a little over.

The scientific soccer lads broke the deadlock in the 20th minute through George Ansong, who scored from a header to give the home side the deserved lead.

Bechem United was awarded a penalty in the 54th minute in the second half and Steven Owusu was up to the task as he got the equalizer for the away side.

Both sides shared the spoils after regulation time.

Liberty Professionals travel to Elmina to face Sharks in their matchday two fixture whilst Bechem United host WAFA at the Nana Gyabeour Park.
